    News of Ex Players

Right, but if a business deems someone worthy of a senior management position, I presume they give them a decent send off on the off chance they become very successful in their future, and the business wants to bring them back in some capacity.

    News of Ex Players

I dunno man, the club captain and 12 year club servant getting short shrift like that is very poor. Like he said, it'd be one thing if thats the way it was with every player, but it wasn't. I thought this was the one thing the old chairman was supposed to excel at.

    David Moyes

this is head wrecking. Half the time on this forum it's 'no one would take the everton managers job', then it's the England under 21 European championship winning coach couldnt get a job as good as assistant manager at Everton. Head spinning, this place, sometimes.

    David Moyes

but he could get an actual managers job right now.

Why would Carsley ever take the assistant manager job at Everton?

Sean Dyche would never go for it tho, not in a million years

Thats not a terrible idea, tho the football would remain terrible but the recruitment would be better. Moyes as DoF, Dyche still manager but with a new forwards coach.

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

I think new owners this Summer might be able to attract someone like Hoeness at Stutgart or the Feyenord boss. New ownership and a landmark final season at Goodison followed by move to a new stadium.

Say we conservatively get $100m for Branthwaite and Onana? I'd expect at least half of that to be reinvested in the squad. Also some big wages off the books. New owners, who ever they are, will hope to make an impression. There's 4 loans spots and about 2 decent signings there.

I think the rebuilding issue revolves around styles more than players per se. A lot of managers built up the existing squad with a lot of different ideas on how the game should be played. I dont like the way Dyche plays the game and it's my fear that if he's given the summer, we'll end up with a...

    2023/24 Abdoulaye Doucoure

Again, blows my mind that he wasnt subbed on 60 mins. Try McNeill there, or Gomes.

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

I think Pickford, Myko, Tark, Branthwaite, Onana, Gana, possibly Garner and Doucoure are all top half players. I think a good manager gets a tune out of the forwards. The wing play has been awful all season and it's painful to watch players not overlapping or wingers continually cutting inside...

I'm not really sure what Vieira had done before palace, cant remember. But I keep a bit of an eye on the Bundes League. (used to live in Freiburg) and Glasner did very well at both Wolfsburg and Frankfurt. He was an astute appointment and palace didnt seem to deem PL experience necessary. My...
