I said the same thing about Beto not quite making that header first half... Small moments could have helped us (there were a couple of worldie blocks from Spurs) but they were better, too

Leeds was grim, Villa uninspiring. Our average form during a soft run of fixtures and the positive Brighton game, are now in their correct light. We're still a bottom half team: - Strange, slow summer business - Moyes perennial slow start - long term gaps in our squad ( Lb, RB, CD, CF ) -...

    January Transfer Window 2026

I wanna believe in this lad, as much much as I still think there's more goals in Beto ( how could there be less, right?). I think there's two factors our front two are poor: 1. Confidence, comes with goals 2. Our movement and creating chances I don't think either looks likely to skin and jink...

Haaland :) Sorry, sh1t Friday at work so far. I have two hopes for this game: we keep them penned level for an hour then we see the emergence of the Moyes V2 'defender blockbuster' of yore. Think Baines, Jags, Unsy, Lescott, Yobo, all of whom had the odd surprise goal in them Friday feels...

Any period of being at least semi decent seems to have completely passed me by. We get him FREE, on 20k a week when he's fit to play, ok. There's your project Davey.

Please God no to Kalvin Phillips. I saw him make one positive run for England, ever. I simply don't get what this guy does.

    2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

I find we get a bit bogged down the left , over-working opportunities but I don't think that's in KDH or Jack. Neither has yet clicked with B&B up front ( Charly has a little more ). Once they do and our strikers make better runs, and take chances I think the KDH and Jack will move balls...

    Carragher

Yeah this is true. The other thing is, he's sort of wrong, too. Haaland is in the same bracket as Ruud VN, Drogba, even Shearer in spells. Good physical finisher with good work rate etc. and I hate to say it prob Owen, Henry Suarez even peak Fowler alongside others for balance. Best ever...

Not suggesting this is what I WANT, but more fod for thought.... We're not coping too badly with Keane, Tarks, with potentially JOB to fill the ranks when we finally buy a RB. So say Branthwaite goes for silly money £70-80m. If we offloaded BETO or BARRY somehow for £20m Could that solve our...

Yes I was thinking CP dropped off 2nd half as much as we pushed. Hopefully chasing and getting a result with pushing up that we did instils belief in our Midfield and Defence to get in / around the box more.

Agree. Subs helped us be more direct and intense 2nd half, and plenty of bodies in box helped force the goal.
