2023/24 Beto

Beto was through on goal and it was flagged. The replay looked as tight as their goal.

Why isn't Beto trained to ignore the offside flag and go on and score since VAR will check it?
The problem is, once a referee blows the whistle for offside or a foul, and a goal is after that VAR mustn't do anything. It was offside tho. Therefore they are ordered to wait till the action is completed normally.

Another good example is the Keane goal vs Fulham. The referee decided foul seconds before the goal went in. It would probably be overruled, if the referee waited till the ball went in, as it was obviously no foul.

Clinging onto hope that he'll be a decent striker next season after a difficult first teething year. Not that that helps us now. Just would really like to not have another bomb on our books.

From what we've witnessed so far, if money was tight and he was an option at around the 6m/7.5m from abroad, you'd say its a punt worth taking.

We are literally going to have to sell one of our top players (which imo is only Branthwaite and Pickford) to cover the 26m to pay off him, first instalment on Chermiti and then hope there's money left to replace Branthwaite or Pickford and then other players we'll need to recruit as well.

What do we owe Udinese, £28m or something? We've all seen enough to know this guy is trash. Surely the club could convince Udinese to take him back and we give them £10m for this season's 'loan' and for them to cancel any other arrangements between the clubs. Worth a try.
