Do you need Health insurance in Ireland?
It's basically a queue skipper, you can get seen in days or weeks rather than months or years. I've never needed to use it, but my son had to get surgery and it went from 18 months to "when suits you" when my wife mentioned that we had insurance, it was done in a private hospital all very timely and efficient. If you are happy to wait then you don't need it, it costs more to have insurance than going publicly we don't have free healthcare €750 is the most you have to spend a year if you go public, insurance is just over 100 a week for 4 of us.

Unless you store everything on your phone, you need a wallet and a partner with a handbag to carry it in..
As an aside...in this near cashless society, how do you tip at cafes ...any tips through contactless don't go directly to the servers..and some goes to the system?
Bit early, I know.....international breaks eh?
