I gave it a nine, it gets a ten when they turn on the wi-fi etc. for those who haven’t been, absolutely everyone I saw coming through the dock wall gates stopped, open-mouthed and just smiled like a bunch of gormless loons :) Thats the effect it had on everyone. It is boss, forget the transport issues, they will get sorted and crowding etc. will settle once people get into their new match-day routine. The look, the feel, the accoustic are all spot on, the sirens and Z-cars are deafening and when 53,000 roar out the team on the first proper home game everyone there will know that this is an exceptional football stadium.

I think the pre season home game will be the best test , full house, wi fi available etc all sorted.

The stadium is awesome.

Only niggles:-
  • Finish and brand the interiors (yup will be done soon I'm sure).
  • Fix the tacky external lighting!
  • Transport links and improve the immediate area with bars, restaurants ands hotels ETC. Will also improve the experience for those walking in. Hopefully purchasing the Nelson dock will help with that.
  • Increase the capacity to above 60k (not sure this will ever happen) .

Still love it though will become iconic.

Solely on the stadium, the stands, the location, the plaza etc which aren’t fully finished, it’s already a 9.

It’s magnificent now, a world class arena.

Just needs the finishing touches adding inside and out to make it our proper home and hopefully they review food & drink prices, which seem a little steep for what you are getting. It’s then 10++++ and will be easily one of the very best in the world.

The first proper match with a full house in full voice is going to be mind blowing and electric.

Not commenting here on the shitshow of transport and parking, that’s not on the club.
I haven't been inside it yet, but from outside and in the opinion of friends who have, its superb. Sorry to say, I think any review in food and drink prices is "pie in the sky" - how often do you see prices come down?

I gave it 9. The concourse inside near the corner of lower west and lower south was packed, but someone said they had other gates to open when it's officially open so hopefully that will ease the congestion. Also if they get a proper line sorted for people wanting food and drinks that will also ease the crowd congestion. As it was people were lining up straight out from the refreshments area rather than side onto it, so it was a fight to get through.
Like many have said it needs the finishing touches and I'm sure they will come, and once the 1878s get their hands in it will be amazing.
As far as I see it there are just a few minor changes and adjustments needed and it will be a 10+
Transport is another story of course.

There are things that could be improved (all of them still fixable), which include the transport and the plain concrete on view in places but it's genuinely spectacular. I think Spurs sets the standard in this country for some stuff, but I do like the way we've tried to do something different to them.

The plaza, the brickwork exterior, the south stand, the numerous nods to Archie Leitch etc - they're all unique features and Dan Meis deserves a huge place in our history for what he's conceived here.

I can live with the food prices tbh - the food quality on offer is several steps up from the Rollover hotdogs etc at Goodison now. More akin to a proper Street Food type place, so with that I can live with the extra cost involved. There will be alternatives nearby for people who don't want that. The beer price will be an important one though - they have built somewhere which has the potential to attract supporters earlier than Goodison does and even keep them there longer afterwards, but not many are going to hang around to pay £7 or whatever for a pint when they can drink the same thing for a fiver in the nearby pubs.

It's a 7/10 for me.

Location is spectacular, the sound will be intimidating, and that upper south concourse will be the best in the country.

It's just a bit bland inside, even with Everton branding it won't change that imo.

The South stand is a disappointment as well. It's not the huge single tier we thought we were getting.

I think we could have gone bigger with the attendance, and the allowances made to incorporate safe standing have taken away from the south stand.

Overall am happy with it, but a 52k is a bit too small for me to be blown away.
