Fingers crossed. I definitely don't want us to rush them back in before they're fit, especially not in that grim run of fixtures we have coming up, but we've gone a bit stale going forward recently and these two could definitely freshen things up.

Never been McNeills biggest fan. He is talented but form can be patchy, I would be excited to see what Moyes could do with him, I think he will step up another level.

To me if both are training with the 1st team. they could both be subs v Liverpool and go from there. Not sure if Moyes does this stuff of train by yourself, trainer etc, till your proper fit

I specifically make a point to point out the good and bad moments of players and it's crazy how often people try to argue with me without actually bringing any evidence apart from "he's bum mate" or vice versa

I've seen shouts that we'll be better once McNeil is back. Problem is, where does he play? He plays best on the left. N'Dy is much better than he on the left. Dwight has proven poor on the right. He a one legged man playing in the middle, turning toward our goal too often. Think Charly has better capabilities in the middle. I think McNeil is a squad player with the current personnel. Truly, I think he should work at becoming a LB.

For me, at first glance he's a rotation player for LM (Ndiaye) and ACM (Alcaraz).

Good to have that competition.

When you look a little closer at the numbers, 1143 league mins and 3 goals + 3 assists. Thats basically 1 in 2.

Badly need him in the starting 11 for set piece taking too

….not remembering us scoring from a corner since he’s been out, an area that was so productive for us before his injury.

Not sure if Charlie Adam has started his job yet but if he has then it indicates it’s more about who takes free kicks than who coaches free kicks. McNeil will start in this squad until we bring in better, I’m sure of that.

I can see Moyes playing a back 3 with McNeill at left wing back playing the Leighton Baines role.
