I guess Kroldrup is a definite stand out but I think Oumar Niasse deserves a mention here too. Our Senegalese prince looked comically bad in his early cameos, it was like we signed Frank Spencer.

It wasn't just the sending off. It was the 5-0 thrashing that went with it. The sight of the RS in the old Park End with the scarves raised and singing their dirge of a song still boils me to this day. Keeley is up there with the slug as an all time Everton villain!

Remember he came into the team late because Wright? Got injured during the warmup.

Wright got injured away to Chelsea by falling on a sign in the goal that said don’t play in the goal’ or something along those lines. Can’t remember him getting injured in the warm up at spurs.

I’m not sure if it was before or later but Mickey Thomas and Kendall had a falling out over the same issue in reverse—Mickey refused to play for the reserves and Howard told him he had to prove his fitness, Mickey never played for Everton again and was sold not long after.

Match fit or not, he chose to undress Dalglish. The buck stops with him for the sending off!

And you know what really sucks... Walter wanted Flo before he signed for chelsea. Dark days back then, your memory is trying to protect you.

It was Royle who wanted Flo. Him and his team mate (who was a centre half but his name escapes me)

Royle resigned about 5hrs later anyway (he even tried to re sign Barry Horne from Birmingham!)

Craig Short had a pretty poor debut, as I recall. He was ok overall, but his debut was one to forget.
