2024/25 Abdoulaye Doucoure

He seems to always be in the way.
Why he didn't square it for Beto in the second half when he cut it back to no one I've no idea.
Agreed, I nearly threw the control through the telly when he did that, same with Harrison when we broke and he passed it straight to Kelleher

Absolutely pathetic performance from him and as much as I am in support of Moyes, he is getting it wrong by giving Doucoure so many minutes.

Alcaraz is far better than him and Doucoure needs to drop to the bench and then be moved on at the end of the season. Will always be grateful for the Bournemouth goal (and his contribution in the 5-1 at Brighton that helped us to an unbelievable away victory).

He’s the type of player we should never sign again:

Clumsy
No technique
Awful touch
Slow
No creativity

He symbolises everything that has been wrong with our recruitment over the last 10 years.

Thanks for the odd important goal, but it’s time to leave.
There just his good points too -

I’ve said for 2yrs one of worst technical players I’ve ever seen in
45yrs. Utterly horrendous, can’t control it, pathetic passing, not knowing where to
Move or run at times, getting in the way of passes from team mates. A few times he just flicked the ball forward to nobody, when he had time. And some of our fans want to give him a new deal for 2yrs
Agreed, he tried to turn in our box at one point and was lucky to get away with it, he is so awkward with the ball, his passing is dreadful, honestly can't wait to see the back of him, how he became our highest paid player is criminal

I think he has served us well but he is now past his best. We need better for sure. Think Alcarez will be a good replacement for him and save about 3.5m in wages also

Always dubious of an attacking player who is better without the ball than with it. Been a stalwart and made a huge contribution to Everton. One of the few from the Moshiri era who can hold his head high but time to move on.
