Always good to see Davek getting his arse handed to him. Tom actually knows what he's talking about and can back up his claims. Dave just spouts the same guff over and over as per.

How is saying that it will take time to settle and for people to change their habits being short sighted?

Yes there are issues. Yes there may be more, and they will all need to be sorted. However basing an entire opinion off two test events, that you weren't even at, with unfamiliarity at play is the short sighted view, in my opinion.
This response has just proved my point. Come on man, please wish for better, just not for yourself, but all Evertonions.

Where have I stated, or even hinted, that I dont want things to improve? I fully EXPECT them to improve. People have different routines at Goodison that suit them, they've figured that out themselves and they have evolved over time.

We have been to the new stadium twice in anything that can be considered a game situation, yet comparisons are being made against a ground that has seen game day situations on over 2200 occasions.

Things may start slow, and they're not remotely ideal, but we'll get there.

My question is. Are things so bad that we neednto campaign to have the safety certificate not awarded? That ha been the assertion of a certain poster, and is the assertion that I am contesting.

You, Dave. You are absolutely certain that the safety certificate should not have been awarded due to the transport issues. Your hope is that the current LCR leadership will be voted out due to it.

No. I've not stated that at all.

I've said that the planning application shouldn't have been accepted.

but I think there may be few relatively simple solutions to improve it dramatically
This is the key thing for me, I honestly donā€™t think itā€™s miles away. The main one for me, and Iā€™ve said this before, is improving public transport going east from the stadium up towards the East Lancs and Queens Drive. It would reduce capacity issues on trains and current soccer buses substantially.

Iā€™ve accepted that there will be a bit of teething issues at the start of the season, as has been pointed out, Iā€™ve got 33 years worth of experience getting to and from Goodison.

Getting away from the ground straight after the game is always a nightmare. I left straight from the Arsenal game and I think I got home maybe 15 minutes quicker than if I had gone for a pint first.

There is an argument for the possibility that getting away from BMD after the initial rush will be even easier than Goodison. I expect, due to the proximity to town, lots of blues who normally hang around county road might head straight into the city centre.
