Sorry I meant why did they knock off 8 rows of seats from the South Stand? I was thinking it was to reduce the height of the stand but I could be wrong.

8 rows have been knocked off it. So kop is 76 rows, ours s 60 rows rather than 68. Wasnt it to do with the height of the stand they reduced it? Although no idea why they couldn't just reduce the distance of the roof to the stand, or reduce the steepness to fit more rows in.

It's because we went and Evertoned it up. It really annoys me that we've split it in two. Put the standing at the back not the front.

Is that wall and height difference the same in the other corner of the South Stand too?

I like the corners but not sure if I'd choose to sit in those seats that are angled towards each other in the middle of that second block in from the left. Maybe they took the wrong meaning of the word initimate!

Totally agree, it honestly ruins it for me. How often are we going to get the entire stand stood up now? I can't believe they didn't make it so it can be adjusted in the future to make it one continuous flow.

Stands are parabolas, so they'll have say 15 rows at x gradient, 15 rows y, 15 rows Z etc, going steeper each time. It's to do with sightlines and c values as they call them. The larger a stand is the less choice you have over steepness. I don't know if it is still the case but the maximum...

I checked it out with the director of the rail seat company. It's 25 degrees for safe standing which is your terrace, so basically anything above 1 to 1 ratio, so we cannot have that in an upper tier. The rail seats with your 1 to 1 ratio where you can stand in front of your designated seat...

There's not a limit on the rake for rail seats. So they can have rail seats in the upper. What they can't have in the upper tier is the the safe standing areas, ie greater than 1:1 ratio. It would have made more sense to have the rail seats in the upper section of the South Stand.

I agree totally on this. Really does need rail seating in the upper. People were sold on a Blue Wall not a third of a Blue Wall. You want the team attacking the South Stand with the full stand on its feet as often as possible roaring them on. All you're going to have is 24 rows stood, miles...
