    Swearing Warnings?

Exactly right. That's why I would have preferred the standing area at the very back of the South Stand. When people start if songs they feel more hidden at the back, so you feel less self conscious and so more likely to start off songs. At the front you feel ike the whole gound is watching...

    Memories of the 70’s

Historian Billy Smith uncovered match reports from the 19th Century and it mentioned about Everton clapping the opposition goalkeeper even back then. 120 years or so of tradition.

Those were the Days Everton version

He had a cool surname though! I've been trying to think of Nev's Welsh understudy from the 90s?

What was the Everton version of this song? Ma Baker

Those were the Days Everton version

It was sung loads on Brenda's coaches to the aways in the 90s, and since then it was started off a few times over the years in the Gwladys St and you'd get a few joining in. So unless you were at the back of GT4 then no you wouldn't have heard it. Even the loud songs didn't travel much beyond GT4.

Those were the Days Everton version

Goodish Gang was sung a fair bit outside the ground since the 90s. Had quite a few airings on the Gwladys St too 10 to 15 years ago before it took off again. Re Those were the days, there's about half a dozen versions of the second half of the song. I think the one the OP is looking for ends...

    The importance of booing

    Strategy Manager for Everton FC

I've read the job description and don't understand it at all and wouldn't have a clue what I'd do, but the moment the new newbie makes a mistake I'll be there first online to rip into him.

New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Yeah I was thinking that too about the rail seats having to go into the corners. With the Lower also rail seated it might be higher than the demand, at least initially. Maybe you could get it to just before the corners but lose 10 seats of the corner? I don't know. Another possibility is to have...

New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I think it is too steep for persistent standing up there and was one of my arguments against a steep stand but there are means around it. I queried it with the person who does, or done, the rail seats in the UK and he said you can have rail seats up there in a 1:1 ratio, you can't evolve that...

New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

The Upper South is sat all game, and probably will do every game. Will they stand for a derby or a big game though? With the stands being so steep, this encourages fans to sit. When fans are sat they don't help create the atmosphere they only join in with an atmosphere that's already created...

    The fans

I blame wsag for that with comments in there from their editors such as "some of us wouldn't be seen dead singing at the match, fkn kopite behaviour". Their negative attitude, and telling everyone how to look, what to wear, what we cant wear, how to act, set us back years. We came quite...

New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

They didn't have to put the wall in, or they could have put a temporary wall in that could easily be changed for seats. The wall has meant that the upper will be sat and that's not what you want to get the most out of the stand more often.

The identify paradox: modern club or traditional institution looking out for the fans and community?

Everton are that cult band that if they ever secured a hit then they'll be classed as corporate sell outs. At the same time the fans of the band complain about their lack of their recognition.

Yeah ee moved yo the front row of the East Stand Upper dir the Legends game. We did get blasted with the sun, but no big deal it was a great view in a place that will be very hard to get seats in again
