First album was genuinely seismic, second wasn’t bad. From then on, they disappeared up their own hoops. I still happily listen to Definitely Maybe quite regularly, but nothing would move me to want to go and see whatever it is they’ll be serving up live on this tour. 🤷🏻♂️
Takes a while to get going, but once the Breaking Bad characters come into it, along with Lalo Salamanca, it’s on a par with Breaking Bad itself (maybe better). Gus, Mike and Saul are some of the best characters across the whole thing.
Is this the place you spilled beer in your shoes Chris? You don’t seem to have much luck at this festival. At least tell us you remembered to pack the fez? 🤔
Decent read overall, and the “Baldy, baldy” revelation in Chapter 6 is particularly enlightening. It’s now clear that being the butt of cruel jibes about his lack of pubic hair was a direct contributing factor in his directing the butt at McStay - ‘buttception’ if you will. :coffee:
Anyway, if...
Chef - Great for the summer.
Withnail & I - Some Hendrix and Beatles on there, plus the original score.
Juice.
The Wicker Man (the proper film, not the remake obviously… 🤣).
O Brother Where Art Though.
Trainspotting.
