Match Thread Everton 1-3 Sunderland Sunday 17th May 15:00

It's too timid, I've been holding off but I think I'd like moyes gone now. There's better more progressive managers out there and we have some decent players.

This is the kind of match where grealish would make a massive difference, gets hold of the ball and takes care of it, this is all just so sloppy....

Terrible work from Keane there, 3 separate mistakes in his defending there

    2025/26 Vitalii Mykolenko

He can go as far as I'm concerned, so so poor in possession that it hinders our whole left side. He's also not as impressive defensively as people say imo, he benefits from being so conservative that he's not caught out of position and his passing is invariably safe and backwards. He does...

    2025/26 Jack Grealish

Not a huge surprise for me, having someone who almost never loses the ball and with the ability to draw fouls as needed controls the tempo of the game. He's also obviously good for our forward play and clearly well liked.

I can forgive that, up to these last few I'd have him and Garner as player of the season. Think it was probably draining being the main creator without ndiaye.

Absolutely massive failing as a manager and a good part of why he hits a ceiling.

This is the team to play, not a chance it happens though.

Probably the first time I can say it all season but KDH is having a poor game, really struggling to find the pass today.

    2025/26 Vitalii Mykolenko

I think mykolenko is a very poor left back but that is a fair point, quite clearly asking George to cover him. The second and third request are kind of pointless as it's too late but if he'd covered properly Rayan wouldn't have had the clear run in.

I wish we didn't sit back after scoring, happens every time, should score and then keep pressing.

    2025/26 David Moyes

We played well against forest on Tuesday with O'Brien and Tarkowski at CB and we then changed it for no reason today bringing Keane back in. He always makes us shaky defensively. It's just bad management.

Match Thread Burnley 0-0 Everton. Sat December 27th. 3pm

We look rubbish but on the plus side I've seen more encouraging work from Dibling in 20mins than I have in the rest of the season. Dreadful quality wise from both sides though.

    2025/26 Tyler Dibling

I hope that the player others have seen is in there, in the games I've seen him he's done absolutely nothing and is very conservative / negative on the ball. At the moment I think Dwight McNeil is more effective (still not good) which is a very concerning statement about one of our most...

    January Transfer Window 2026

Right back (and LB as mykolenko is dreadful for our buildup) is where I would start, it would improve the attacking balance of the team and free up JOB to go to CB. They have the benefit of being cheaper positions which we're more likely to be able to fill in January, a striker moving in...

    The Case for the Defence

I know it's harsh (as he has improved) but we always concede loads of chances with Keane in the side, he's too slow to turn and sits back to cover affecting the structure of the side leaving a hole between defence and midfield. It's been 8 years and it's always the same. Jake and Tarkowski for me.
