Yep, totally agree, no one will choose it, unfortunately it's probably just a tactic to make it mandatory in a year or two without it being a big drama right now as it's optional

    2024/25 Jack Harrison

I think this is it, not sure why, maybe stadium debt is coming into play but re-signing Keane and Harrison are horrible moves for any club with a decent amount of cash to spend. They'll still be on a decent wage and are not premier league quality (even as backups) and in Keane's case drags down...

    Transfer Rumour Jack Grealish

Absolutely, don't understand how people can ignore that level of quality, he'd be a level above anything we currently have (aside from ndiaye) and I think he's probably still got a bit to prove after being benched.

    2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

I feel like I'm losing my mind, he's been absolutely awful for us, he shouldn't be anywhere near our team or bench and causes panic every time he gets on the pitch.

    2024/25 James Tarkowski

Tarks Pickford Gueye Ndiaye Branthwaite That's in order of confidence for my guesses.

    2024/25 Idrissa Gueye

It's easier (and more interesting) to talk / argue about where we can improve. Gueye gives a +6 out of 10 every game and everyone knows it, nothing to debate really. He'll be difficult to replace and agree with the person above about 2 players, probably need a defensive mid and a cm who's happy...

    2024/25 Michael Vincent Keane

Honestly makes me doubt Moyes' judgement a bit if he plays him.... Done an excellent job since coming back but this isn't a hard call to make

Match Thread Everton 0-2 Man City. Sat April 19th. 3pm

Really could do with something like the opposite of motm to give to Keane every time he gets on the pitch. All shape and composure just vanished....

Immediate panic and pressure once Keane comes on, really looking forward to not seeing him anymore....

    2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

Yeah, there's definitely a bit of potential there but I do fear that he might still be a bit lightweight for football at this level but that might be something he learns to work around with a bit more experience in the league. Another loan would be helpful for him to settle and us not to fix...

    2024/25 Tim Iroegbunam

I like the sound of it (would have a lot more quality on the ball) but worry it would be very open, not sure that any of those 3 sits properly as a defensive mid like gana does..... maybe Garner with a bit more experience?

Match Thread Everton 4-0 Leicester. Sat Feb 1st. 3pm

I don't think people realise just how much we are going to miss him or how difficult he is to replace until he's gone....

Feel like mangala has totally disappeared, really need a player in his position to be more involved

I started watching the game 65 minutes in....I feel like I should apologise for making that happen!

Mangala needs to get involved, pretty invisible so far

Doucoure, gana and young all having a good game tbh..... Feels odd to type that out!

    2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

I know you're joking but honestly Branthwaite changes the way we play, our midfield is further up, he moves out of defence to pressure the ball off their midfield stops them settling. He's also more dominant in the air (even though that's probably a Kean strong point). His passing is also much...

    2023/24 Jarrad Branthwaite

Looked good, card aside, passing forwards well

    Attacking Replacements

Harrison and Doucoure for me. Harrison needs to replaced by someone with pace (and preferably some quality) but mainly pace. Mcneil is good but very slow but he weighs in with assists and I think it's very helpful to have that shooting from distance ability in the team. Doucoure is tricky...

    2023/24 James Tarkowski

He's been one of our best players this season alongside Pickford and Branthwaite IMO. He's also clearly a massive part of why we get so many set piece goals, I've can't think of a centre back so dominant in getting to aerial balls in the box, he just seems to win them every time. Also like his...
