    2025/26 Jack Grealish

Stand out for me was the weight he put on both passes which led to the goals. Absolutely perfect.

Match Thread Leeds 1-0 Everton, Mon 18 Aug, 8.00pm

Good post, I cannot help but feel the issues arise from the squad being unbalanced. Our appalling stewardship, especially since 2016 has meant players have been signed without a clear vision of how we will play. At last when the finances improve, players we want seem reluctant to sign.

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

This, aligned to a need to attack more as a unit. For a while now, I see distance between our 1 or 2 in the opposition box and additional midfield support through the centre. Additionally our forward players get too many balls delivered with back to goal and little option but a back pass.

Everton 0-3 Bournemouth. Sat July 26th. 9 Pm.

Plus the team lacks any creativity. Our attacking play is predictable and frustrating. Your assessment is bang on

I like the fact that he seems capable of turning with the ball and has a desire to carry it forward.

    2024/25 David Moyes

The thing which most impressed me today was it was clear that the team was playing for the shirt and put in a tremendous shift in what was a dead rubber game. Moyes should take tremendous credit for creating that togetherness.

New Everton Owners: The Friedkin Group

Good Post, reading through the thread,I get the impression that some are in denial of the current environment the Premier League operates in. Massively commercial and a catalyst to sustaining much print media and pay tv. We may wish this was not the case, but as Evertonians, who wish to see us...

Does it with control and an eye for a pass. At the price quoted, it is a no brainer.

Agree, they put in an effort but are totally devoid of skill and creativity. We are poor to watch.

One of the issues at present, we lack any creativity from centre mid.

    2024/25 James Garner

Agree, works hard like Gana(not as good) but not rarely seems to create supply to our attackers. I think a new centre mid with vision is one of our several priorities.

Match Thread Everton 2-2 Ipswich. Sat May 3rd. 3pm

Today for me totally highlighted the number of incomings we need. All season it seems I have watched us reach the opposition final third and stop. The ball is then played square or backwards. Today I saw on about 3/4 occasions in the second half, Mykolenko receive the ball in space with an...

    2024/25 Nathan Patterson

Personal opinion but I do not think, due to injuries and never having a run in the team, he can be regarded as not good enough.

Big weakness with the current squad. The recruitment needs to focus on bringing in actual footballers to improve.

    2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Agree, our problems have been in scoring goals emphasised by the number of draws we have. We need a more natural finisher. I do know that everybody is looking for similar and they are usually the most expensive signings.

I am somewhat concerned after DM’s press conference where he mentioned the decision that if J O’B was moved into the middle, that would mean 2 changes.

This fact plus the effort we had put in, and we cannot be faulted for that, chasing the ball, led to our demise.
