….Warnock says Moyes told him Barkley was a talent but had no responsibility on the pitch. Warnock soon agreed.

Worked with a Wednesday fan at the time and they seemed to highly rate him, from memory it was a good loan spell. Leeds under Warnock where he stuck him on the wing and hardly played him was the issue

Barkley scored 4 goals in 13 games for Wednesday before we recalled him. He was only 18 at the time. I'm not sure why this has been remembered as a "terrible" loan.

What is the EPL? So does Harrison if you open your eyes

He did. Loan success in the EPL is largely irrelevant to whether a player is capable of success in the premier league. But Barkley clearly always had all of the tools.

Unnecessary, I want him to be as good as everyone else. Why wouldn't I? I praised Rooney and Barkley to the absolute roof tops as soon as they came on the scene. I haven't seen anything exceptional from this lad yet. Just a load of fans getting over excited. There's a massive difference between...

I forgot Barkley was at Villa, or that he even existed. Should have gone somewhere else after impressing at Luton.

It’s almost like the amount you spend dictates the quality of player you end up with.

...of wide players we’ve paired with them that have no pace which include all of the current wide options. The exceptions like McCarthy Barkley Rodwell Doucoure Onana are few and far between. When was the last time you saw an Everton mdifield really put it on an opposition midfield and bully...

Fingers crossed. Maybe a Declan Rice type but better on the ball.

...have benefitted HA or Everton in his development. The regular games will bring him on quicker and should be thereabouts come next season for PL footy. He is getting high praise so it is defo benefitting him and us. Think it is unfair to compare to Gordon and Barkley........different type of...

...to me is a box to box midfielder whose competitive in the midfield battle and when he adds strength and power to his developing physique will be a modern day midfield dynamo) So an unfair comparison to an attacking midfielder like Barkley and a deep lying playmaker type that Rodwell ended up...

...noting is on for him, that’s every midfielder on the planet. He doesn’t run with the ball, again he can travel with the ball, Yes he’s not a Barkley. Also had big hand in the first goal v Sheffield Utd, with a great touch to take him away from his marker, Another brilliant turn on half way...

Because I just don't see what HA is that good at which is going to make him a top player. With players like Roswell, Barkley, Gordon it was obvious.
