The Friedkin Group reaches agreement to buy Everton

Good points but you know the saying. One evertonian is worth 20 kopites. I think when you look at figures of fanbases it's all skewed anyway. Glory hunters shouldn't count and in the case of teams like Liverpool I know so called Liverpool fans who couldn't even name 5 of their players.

    Friedkin's To Do list.

Increase bramley Moore by 10k would be a good start

The next manager appointment (new thread)

It's great to have you here at GOT. I agree Southgate would be a bad appointment. I think that it would be the kind of appointment who would immediately start the doubters on the new regime particularly if it went badly which I imagine in likelihood it would. I hope they get a top manager in...

The Friedkin Group reaches agreement to buy Everton

Ohh I didn't realise they had that many. I'd imagine we have somewhere between 10-20 million at a guess but maybe less than that?

The next manager appointment (new thread)

I wanted Moyes but I don't really envisage the new owners looking that way. They might be more likely to go Potter and look to put their own spin on things. I think Dyche is his own worst enemy with the start we have made and if he had started better I would give him the credit to carry on...

The Friedkin Group reaches agreement to buy Everton

Currently yes. But with the new stadium etc the ceiling is higher with Everton in the current climate

The Friedkin Group reaches agreement to buy Everton

As big as roma are. The Premier league is the money spinner for all owners. If anything Everton will be their cream of the crop now.

The next manager appointment (new thread)

Would you give Rooney a go as manager? I think he would give his all but may come up short so I think it's too risky. Hard to know which way Friedkin will go with this.

The next manager appointment (new thread)

With friedkin coming in I'll think he may look to appoint his own manager particularly with how bad Dyche is doing. I could just envisage it being someone from abroad. Perhaps he may even go the Davide Ancelotti route. I don't think Dyche could complain too much were this the case considering...

    Scottish football

Looks like you started the season ok as well. Drew with rangers and we're the better team, then went to Dundee and the stats make it look like you should have won there. But the 3 fixtures against Motherwell, Dundee United and St Mirren looks like you had low xg in all 3 and played poorly. Is...

Why do we bother?(never give up)

Of all the managers we had after Moyes the one who sticks out to me that we maybe should have persisted with was Marco Silva. Of course it's easy to say that in hindsight with how well he has done at Fulham. But why did we sack him? He wasn't doing that bad and didn't really put us in...

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

He's going nowhere lad. Who sacks him? Also Thelwell keeps singing his praises all the time so they all feel he is doing a good job

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

I was actually looking forward to seeing what Dyche could do this season. He has not really lost any players who were important to the team. He has acquired a few exciting players. But he's been an utter let down. The first game against brighton was always on the first goal and we didnt get it...

Midweek was not our first eleven. I think we will not be agreeing on this one. But I think your completely wrong about the team. Yes the full backs is a problem area but our best 11 for me is somewhere around 12/13th best eleven in the league. Even the squad is around 15/16th for me.

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

No pace? I wouldn't want to take on Lindstrom and ndiaye in a race. And what about our midfield who totally dominated 60 mins or so against winks and ndidi before Dyche ruined the team. I suppose you would prefer the Leicester midfield? Come on lad

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

You can't honestly think we have a worse squad than any of the 3 promoted squads? I find it shocking that anyone could think that. Yes those sides will come into the season with more momentum than us. But we certainly have better players than all 3 that surely can't be disputed

    2024/25 Sean Dyche

I'm not having this dave. We should be comfortably mid table and not even mentioning relegation. But he has with the worst start imaginable and throwing away points with awful tactical decisions. I agree he probably will keep us up, but I don't agree we should even be thinking about relegation...
