I would like to think so too. The issue is though that Thelwell's contract expires at the end of this season as does Dyche's. So, because of the rudderless ownership, there isn't much future planning we can do.

Yeah, but the issue with having wide players who always move inside is that you need overlapping full-backs to provide width. As we don't do that, we need actual wide players.

Hmm. All the other teams have improved beyond us. We cannot score, have a striker that will never lift a finger for us again, zero pace and a manager who doesn't know how to set up a defence. Plus, we will concede more goals than we did last year.

We've definitely slipped down the league in terms of squad quality. Probably just better than the three promoted teams. Have to hope that Dyche's appalling management doesn't drag us below them.
