    6 + 2 Point Deductions

That would be my guess as well, Onana may be Player 8 referenced in the IC decision.

    6 + 2 Point Deductions

I wonder if perhaps we may withdraw our appeal if results on the pitch go favorably for us and no verdict is issued by game day 38.

    6 + 2 Point Deductions

Not sure I follow you entirely. Forest got 4, but I think it was 6 with 2 back for "exceptional" cooperation. A quick review of our IC decision on this charge shows that the IC did not deem our cooperation to be exceptional. Apparently, our cooperation was just "reasonably high." <sigh>...

    6 + 2 Point Deductions

In my view, there is a zero % chance of either our or Forest's appeal being successful. First, it seems the standard is, was there "legal error." I think that will be extremely difficult to show now that we have some precedents for these cases. And perhaps even a stronger argument for status...

    6 + 2 Point Deductions

So, does it really matter from a points deduction perspective if it was £22 million or £16 million? Recall that Forest's 34 and our original 19.5 seemed to both be regarded by the Forest IC as in the "significant" band, whatever that is, so wouldn't 22 and 16 be in the same band? So...

    6 + 2 Point Deductions

This is shocking. So the IC has kicked the can down the road, another point deduction looms over us for again relating to the same time period and no one had any idea when that hearing may occur or whether any further points deduction would apply to this season or next? Absolutely ridiculous...

    6 + 2 Point Deductions

What the heck is this about? What a farce... ========================== Remarkably, the written reasons revealed that this was not the end of the case against Everton following a dispute between them and the Premier League about the scale of their breach, which the latter asserted was almost...

    Relegation 23/24 Thread

One more thought...for all those that say teams like Forest and Luton have goals in them, remember that they also concede a lot of goals (-16 and -20 goal difference), which impacts win/loss/draw. So, they have their own challenges.

Palace have 7 games remaining, 5 games of which are against teams in the current top 8, and they also play teams currently in 11th and 13th. Palace do not play any of the current bottom 6 teams. They are well in the mix.

And the umm...genius...of Dyche's master plan has now become clear...Everton to finish 17th, staying up on goal differential. Never a doubt.

    6 + 2 Point Deductions

I just can't imagine any appeal commission changing a point deduction near to or after the close of the season, for us or Forest. Especially if it changed which team got relegated, to do so would create havoc, lawsuits and invite so much more bad press on the PL for rules that we all know are...

Palace is in this relegation scrap for sure. One point ahead of us (at least for now...). Just looking at their remaining fixtures: Liverpool West Ham Newcastle Fulham Man United Wolves Aston Villa I'm not seeing many easy points there. Should be quite a ride. Battle on Everton!

DCL still not finishing his chances, but credit for the goal despite keeper error. That said, it looked to me like he was playing with a bit more confidence. We will need him down the stretch. Branthwaite man of the match for me, cleared the danger many times.

    6 + 2 Point Deductions

It's the deduction for cooperation that worries me. Is our IC going to see it the same as the Forest IC did? From the Forest IC decision, it seems a 2 point deduction was granted for a combination of an early plea (guilty admission I believe that means), plus cooperation with the IC. I...

    2023/24 Amadou Onana

Dele would be well suited to the number 10 role, but we all know that deal. Injured, unclear if he would be in the right frame of mind, would be "on the grass" forever to get to Dyche's level of required fitness, and of course, if we played him more than a few times, we'd owe Spurs a king's...

Everton losses double in latest accounts as 'going concern' threat confirmed

    - Sponsorship, advertising and commercial income totalled £19.2m for the season. In the partnership categories available for the Club to sell, revenue increased year-on-year, due to enhanced renewals and significant new agreements with Stake, Boxt, Christopher Ward and Marc Darcy. However...

Just zero margin for error when you can’t score goals. Must change tactics in future games. Maybe 3-5-2. Can’t hope to nick a 1 nil every game.
