£13m and £90,000 a week?

If the bid is successful, the newspaper also claim that the London side will then offer the England striker £90,000 a week, more than doubling his current Goodison wages in an attempt to persuade the striker that his future lies in London...

Well, I hope he doesn't go, but if we get 18million for him, I would be happy with that.

Cue tabloid rumour generator:

[Insert Club Name] linked with audacious swoop for [Insert Player Name] with a resolve testing [Insert random price]

Then they have a program with a database that just spits out clubs/names and prices. They are all the same story and use the same phrases like 'Will test their resolve' etc etc. Unless we see them holding a new shirt (no photoshopping counts) its all a load of bollocks! Oh, and law of averages suggest they will accidentally get one right now and then!
