Pfffft!Ross was the best he had been for atleast 2 seasons under Koeman. It isn't the 'Dutchmans' fault that Barkley has the mentality of a stroppy toddler.
Why do we need to sell him?I'd drive a harder bargain than £45M for a player we'll get no resale value for.
Ripped off.
£30M top whack probably. That';s what happens when a manager forces the issue with daft, impossible to sustain ultimatums.
Koeman lost us £20M with the way he's isolated Barkley.
I'm glad to see the investment. We've shown we can get the value deals, but now showing we can back a manager and get him a player he wants at a high price.
I've waited for this for years, I'm definitely not going to moan.
It'll be the fourth time this summer Everton have been had off by no mark clubs for millions.
We could have bought two more players with rational prices paid for Pickford (should have been £20M); Klaassen (should have been £18M); Keane (should have been £20M); and now Sigurdsson (should have been no more that £30M).
That's about £40+M that could have bought a CB and new LB...or a quality attacker to lead the team.
Madness, utter madness.
And now we have to sell Barkley to fund this one.
It's gross irresponsibility with the player sale cash we'll have as a once in a generation chance to make pay.
OwerBarkleys an utter ponce mate. Boyhood blue yet doesn't want to sign a new deal, get shot.
You think we're doing a City? Why do we need to sell him?
We're buying players to help us win trophies and/or challenge for a place in the top 4.
You're living in the time of old Everton.
Man City were buying the likes of Wayne Bridge, Sean Wright-Philips and Craig Bellamy for big fees and huge wages when they were trying to build their profile up.
This is something we have to do.
You say we're overpaying for Sigurdsson who has been one of the best midfielders in the league over the past four seasons with Swansea, then say Koeman cost us £20m on Barkley. That would mean you value Barkley at £50m!£30M top whack probably. That';s what happens when a manager forces the issue with daft, impossible to sustain ultimatums.

Doesn't want to play for us because that Dutchman made his presence here untenable.

We're investing money in the squad, we're clearly trying to challenge for a place in the top 4.You think we're doing a City?
Honestly?
Dear me. We are not at the races mate. Not remotely.
They spent big time, we're spending the cash from assets in blue jerseys that have been cashed in.
Big, big difference.
Great.
Just about sums up the level of indifference to our class leaving us and buying in some utter tat.

Please try and stay consistent!
It's embarrassing if we're spending 40m on a player? Easily embarrassed, you.
I would say signing Drenthe and Count Straquela as deadline day loans was pretty embarrassing in comparison.
