Worst Everton debut

Alex Scott had a mare of a debut - kicked the corner flag when taking a corner - & believe it or not HK had a mare on debut - Glen Keely has to be the worst though - TBF he old HK he was not match fit - & it showed sent off - & we got mulllard v the other lot .....

Nothing which hasn't been said.

Glenn Keeley.

Espen Baardsen, I can't remember how it happened, but Wright was unavailable, everyone else was injured. Was also the same game where Ibrahim Saïd was named on the bench, before his excuses started.

Mangala- speaks for itself, surely?

John Collins - not been mentioned. 1st game of season. Fans felt confident, we'd made some strong off season signings and then he missed a pen and we drew 0-0.

I was with the Dublin ESC, and we used to come overnight on the Friday sailing and go back on the Saturday.

It was really grim waiting around for the ship back at 10.15 pm.

When we boarded we found the ship full of Loyalist rs from Belfast who had been accommodated on ours because P&O to Belfast had gone on strike.

We had a horrible night as those barstewards roared their kopite dirge and Loyalist triumphalist songs all night.

My memory is playing strange tricks with me - put it down to post match trauma even 43 years later !!

I do remember lads in the Street end being really angry at HT and some tearing up the match programme.

In fact it was 0-3 after 55 minutes, I thought it was by HT we were so overwhelmed.
In the highlights video when Dalglish hits the bar in the first half John Motson does say 'Honestly, RS could have had 4'.
