I can identify with the "premise" of the video. I am almost scared to be hopeful as an Evertonian these days, that's not the same as wanting to be negative at every turn though and most of us are not like that and don't want to be.

I'm not particularly bothered by others perception of us, including Paddy Powers'. The truth is that we are largely irrelevant and in the digital age, bad publicity is probably better than none. Otherwise we might as well just fold.

The custodians of the club have turned it into what it is. We've been on our knees since the late 80s. I'm surprised some people still notice actually.

We've collectively done enough crying about that so we might as well laugh about it too, particularly when we now have another chance to get things right.
