Well for me both, cant throw a dart without injuring someone. My highest break is 32, so I'm not likely to reach the Crucible.

which is harder? for me? i guess the 147 as a nine dart finish only needs 9 pieces of luck!!

Nine darter. I got a 148 out one time in my mis-spent youth but sadly they don't have boards over here (apart from the ridiculous pay ones with holes in them).

Well there has been 16 televised 9 darters and 67 official 147 breaks. But what about getting a hole in one??? That has to be harder as need to take into consdieration the weather condidtions.

Posted via Mobile Device dont agree about the 'hole in one' - like the name suggests it's a one off- another thing in golf and snooker luck/fluke could play a part, it doesn't/cant be a factor in a nine darter.

The 147 is definitely the hardest of the 2. There are other factors in snooker like in which position you start the break, how the balls are situated on the table and a lot of skill as well. In darts, the board is always the same and you always start from the same position with nothing in the way

147. Much Much harder.

Too many variables, bad kicks, bad cannons, rub of the baize, different cushions on different tables act different, climate and humidity can affect the lie of the table, etc etc etc

Darts, same action, same distance, same board, with repetition of action it can be replicated too easily.

I would say a hole in one is more down to pure luck than skill mate. 147 v 9 Darter, i would have to go for the 147 because you need to develop the break. In darts the nine dart finish is extremely difficult but that target is already set up for you from your first throw.
