Its going to be an interesting squad selection whenever it is announced.

osman, johnson, jagielka have all impressed along with england stalwart lescott.

are we on TV next weekend against sunderland? and will our lucky charm fabio be in attendance.

Presume he was mainly there for Lescott but he can't fail to have been impressed by AJ, even though he preferred Defoe and Agbonlahor (sp) last time.

I expect AJ and Lescott to be there and a possible surprise call up for Jags.

Picking Upson over Lescott was just bizarre in my opinion.

Funny I was reading in the paper the other day about Lescotts versatility 'a quality left back who can also fill in competently at centre back.'

Don't think we're on the telly against Sunderland, next prem match on is West Ham on the 22nd I think.

He's probably already been too more England games then McLaren did in his entire tenure in the hotseat.

Capello seems to be every where really dedicated to his football, which is good too see.

I really can't see him not selecting Johnson and Lescott in his next squad.

He has to be impressed with ossie. He's having a great season. An if he keeps with one up frount, ossie is perfect in a five midfield as we know.

Great shout Sharpey Ossie is in top form this season, all crdit to him!

Who would have thought he'd keep Fernandes out of the team given a choice at the end of last season!

AJ would be great coming off the bench for England. He not scoring that many goals but his passing has improved a hell of alot this year.

Osman is a nice player but I still can't see him being called up.

Jags might have a shot.

I agree with you on this but I'll also say that I was on record a little over a year ago saying there was no way no how that Ossie gets a call up to the England squad.

I'd have to say that today, he's at least got a chance with how he's played for us this year.

A far cry from a year ago.

tbh, i think osman would fare even better at international level if selected as part of a 5 man midfield, preferably in one of the more central berths.

lazy journalism at its finest, though it just goes to show how well he plays both roles.

While AJ has been ace, i wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get called up, just because he hasn't been starting. I think jagielka might just prove himself worthy of one.
