It just tells you what we already knew - Newcastle had to get on a Europa-level pace in the second half to stay up, and they ended up mid-table because they overachieved at a CL clip instead.

We should've gone for Saint Maximin when we had the chance - he looked brilliant at the weekend.

There's some great talent in that squad which Howe has deftly assembled.
