2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

At least we're top of the dross table. Bottom 5 now adrift. Still got the current bottom 3 at Goodison.
We need a centre forward who's gona score now and then. Meteta has put palace out of any relegation worries. He's scored the same amount of goals today in one game than our centre forward has all season. Im not really counting on him to show up at all for the rest of this season, this is two seasons running he's gone on a long goal drought so we need to get someone in.
Big big call for the club for the rest of this window. Need to get this right.

Should simply put start Beto and stick with him, bring in DCL last twenty - he may actually seem arsed if he realises his free agent contract will be significantly reduced if he ends up sitting on the bench half a season.

it’s 1 of the 4 to go with the bottom 2

I'm telling you right now: if we get beat tomorrow the wheels will start to buckle on this club.

There'll be panic because most will think that's our fate: to be wedded to Moyes and we dont have the chance to twist again on a manager.

Well that better not be the attitude of the Texans.. They have to be ready to pull the trigger on Moyes and shift to someone else. And they better be shortlisting managers even now ready to go.

They've got how much tied up in Everton? If it were me I'd have two more games in mind and if we're in the relegation zone I'd get shut of Moyes and go again.

I wouldn't;t care what it looked like...then again, I wouldn't have been the clueless gets these Texans are in the first place to have hired the washed up Moyes.
All due respect, let's keep a level head here, this seems a bit alarmist and inflammatory. We've given Moyes a two and one half year deal, he is here to do a job, and rash action based on two or three games in which we will not have been favored to win any (Villa, Tottenham and Brighton) seems a bit harsh. He's not even had much chance to get in a couple of new players in the window, he is dealing with some key injuries and he is assessing what he has to work with, which as we all know is not much.

Regardless of what we all felt about Moyes, he's here now and needs support, as do the players. I personally have previously stated that I was on the fence on Moyes (yes, Dyche had to go) and would have preferred a more progressive thinking manager, but it is what it is. Constant upheaval and new game plans every couple of weeks is not the answer. If anyone thinks we bring in (insert name here) to manage this bunch and that we suddenly go on a six game win streak, I think you are kidding yourself. Let's give Moyes a reasonable chance here to get in a couple players, make some tweaks to the side, and get it done. Have some faith.

All of that can be true and still I can be correct.

You cant control the emotions of football fans, and my guess is that if we're beaten tomorrow arses start twitching and heads start wobbling.

And that would be understandable, btw, as it'd look like we are rudderless and shorn of solutions given the parsimony of this ownership so far and the view Moyes is here and no more change can take place.

Well I say more change can and will take place if Moyes cant arrest this within a few weeks by at last getting a win and some draws on the scoreboard.
