2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

7 points ahead of the drop . 6 ahead of 17th. And still people are shaking like a sh**ing dog. How do ye cope in the real world 🤣🤣

I’ve just been back through last season’s relegation thread and had a proper laugh. 26th April after we’d just won the derby, we needed 2 points to be mathematically sure of relegation, and there were people flapping that we were gonna get complacent and Luton were gonna come up on the outside lane and fly past us

These threads are magic every season. I genuinely feared for us with Dyche as manager a few weeks ago, but people need to get in the real world right now.

For me, win against Leicester makes relegation extremely unlikely. Two of those four sides are not going to gain nine points on us.

But at the same time, I don’t think a defeat sucks us back into it because there are four teams below us, not three.

In simple terms, the last two wins means that I won’t have to watch this from behind the couch and what will be will be
defeat next week and we will get pulled right back into it, Ipswich are at home to Southampton next week, they will win that.

So we have to do business in the transfer market this week and hope DCL Managala and McNeil are not too serious injury

hate to say it but it sounds like at least 2 of those could be bad if McNeil is deemed to need surgery and noises around mangala are true

We are safe. We won't be losing to Leicester, and look at their next 8/9 fixtures. They will not get to 25 points.
