2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Seen Wolves’ upcoming fixtures? Ipswich’s really tough as well. Leicester points deduction incoming. They should hammer them as well with it being their second breach despite avoiding punishment for the first one. We’ll be safe by mid February

Leicester should get double if they are guilty. Potentially 12 + points.

Gonna be a sore one for the Dychettes when we do improve under the new manager.

I genuinely have two emotions on this.

Part of me thinks we get a manager, it's all been Dyche's fault and we pull away to comfortable safety and like 13th.

There's another part of me though, that thinks the mire is deeper than Dyche.

I genuinely can't make my mind up, if the likes of DCL/Broja/Lindstrom/Harrison might be better under a different manager.

I look at Wolves next 3 and can't see any points, maybe they might get 1/2. If that's the case, they have a huge hole to dig themselves out of.

They really needed something tonight.

I don’t think they’ll suddenly turn into world beaters, but they simply HAVE to be better players when they’re given a proper system rather than hit and hope. Dom didn’t score 20 in a season by chance, Lindstrom didn’t get a blockbuster move for nothing. They have to have another level to them if given the right direction

*a lot of our woes comes from complete ineptitude or plan when we get into attacking areas and that simply must be coming from the manager given that it’s his job to put the plan or the patterns in place.

It's football. There'll be a surprise. They'll get 3 points at the very least.
100% I don’t put much weight into fixture runs at this point. We’re just as likely to lose to the bottom 3 than the top 3. And teams around us have shown the capacity to give the top teams a game. Ipswich beat Chelsea, for example recently.

It’s a bit of both. It’s a crap squad AND Dyche is no longer getting a tune out of them.

Bring in a new manager and this squad improves, but it’s a long road to get better players in and improve us significantly.

Best for all concerned if we get an ace new manager and loads of new players.

Then everyone can claim victory.
