2024/25 Relegation Thread

Tarkowski and Craig Dawson is pretty much the same profile of CB. Luckily Wolves didn't bother to replace Kilman at all and that's cost them a good 5-6 points already this season.

Guehi just spent the summer starting games for England and been decent this season, Trevor Chalobah now fit and starting to make an impact for Palace.

I think if you're just comparing this squad to Wolves and Palace it's similar and weaker in areas like CM. I really rate Ndiaye as people can see from my posts but Wolves have Cunha on their left who's an excellent counter attack player and Eze at Palace isn't even a debate.

The big problem currently is Leicester are showing with their experience they're far more streetwise at this level than Luton were and are actually getting draws and the odd win from playing pretty badly so far. Could do with them getting a few injuries and losing four in a row, think they have a hard run coming up so they shouldn't pull away and Cooper will quickly come under pressure.
Also still hope they can get a psr charge

True also think his negative style has cost us agree with you i think will get us safe then end of season i want him gone
That's what he's here for: 17th.

Ilm happy with that.

Then if this TFG lot are serious about owning this club then can hire a better manager.

That's all too much of a wait for this lot though. They want their managerial-merry-go-round AND THEY WANT IT NOW!!!!!!

After our first loss in 6 games might I add.

Well be more than ok.

We can go round in circles here but it all comes down to having faith in a manger who gets the job done...and he does.

Give me Dyche over Señor Kickaball from the lower reaches of La Liga any day of the 'kin week.

Cant say i am happy with that just because want us to have better standards, but yeah is pretty much it this season and the next season just get safe. Try to build a team hopefully be able to balance the books then start to look up

Palace will be fine.

Realistically it's between Ipswich, Southampton, Wolves and Leicester.

It's a question of whether Everton and Brentford get dragged into it.

I'd be all for Dyche if he suddenly transforms this team like Iraola has in last 12 months with Bournemouth.

I'm not holding my breath. Luckily West Ham are in turmoil but it's still away against a pacy attack so draw at best and Brentford is a real banana skin fixture for many reasons.

1 point from next two could easily happen and then you're thick deep in a nightmare run of fixtures where just a couple of draws would be a decent achievement.

Think if Dyche loses to Brentford he's done as you then have 11 days until Wolves at home to get someone out of work in.

Nah. no way he's being sacked now.

We'd have to be 8 games from the end of the season and in the bottom 3.

He's going to see out his contract...at the very least.

We scraped a lucky point at home to fulham and newcastle. Our two wins have come against those in current bottom 4. And the one loss to the winless Southampton. So when you break it down its not that great. But it is what it is.
The fixtures from Dec 7th right up to 25th of january are horrendous.
There is a distinct possibility at the end of january looking back regretting games like Southampton leicester and the disaster that was Bournemouth at not putting points on the board.
I cant actually see a win in those dates above lol.

This time last year (nearly) the rats at the PL decided to do us over. We then had a bad loss to Man U, so headed in to December on 4 points.

I'll say that again. December. 4 points. It's only the 4th of November now, and 4 points would have you second bottom.

He did remarkably well to keep the players focused, motivated and not looking like they had ready made excuses.

He still gets spoke about like a dog though. I think it's a hangover from the cesspit this place became during the Benitez period myself.

Funny thing is, I'm almost certain some of his critics went to bat for Lampard, and he's definitely a worse manager than Dyche, yet they're now belittling anybody who wants to back this Everton manager.

Spot on that mate.

Short memories his haters have.
