2024/25 Relegation Thread

I’m starting to be more confident that the current occupants of the relegation places will be the teams to drop. I can’t see Southampton surviving under any circumstances, then Ipswich and Wolves seem to be supporting their current manager for now at least. If they continue to do so I think that will be their undoing….hopefully

No room for any complacency on our part. We really want to look to extend the gap with the bottom after Christmas. The aim has to be a degree of comfort by April at least, so we can enjoy the final games at GP and head to our new home with an exciting summer ahead.

Complacency? Looking at our December fixtures I’d take not being cut adrift in the bottom 3 by January 1st. They tend to all be fixtures that our manager writes off as not having a hope in so might as well not bother trying.

Apparently we are going to continue supporting our current manager too...

So, that makes it an even death-match then.

9 points was 18th at this stage last season. I'm not seeing much to think they will perform that much better than last season.

Yep, I tuned out of the relegation battle last season once we were safe, was surprised to look again today and see that 27 points was sufficient. It might be more this year but not by much.

I might have freebie tickets for Leicester Wolves. If I can be bothered travelling I’m going to dress up as a wolf and take a big banner saying “He needs more time!!! Booo VAR”.

They have been a little unlucky as well as being poor. Whereas Southampton have just been very poor and stubborn in how they play. The longer Wolves leave things spiralling the better.
