2024/25 Relegation Thread

I’ll call it nonsense when we’re 10-15 points clear rather than just 4 if it’s all the same to you mate

Yup.

It's an absolute nonsense to pretend like we're not in trouble. Doesn't mean I think we are going down, but we are objectively in trouble currently and anyone who doesn't think that is living in a different reality.

I think people just like the idea of sticking to a viewpoint and ignoring evidence to the contrary as though that makes their opinion more valid. We've done well to keep 2 clean sheets v Arsenal and Chelsea. Just like how we've produced several horror shows this season.

These two draws are huge results. Whatever happens against City we can't go into the relegation zone, even with us missing a game, and I doubt any of us would've expected that situation two weeks ago.

It doesn't get easy after that, with Bournemouth, Forest, Villa and Spurs not being an ideal run on this season's form, but this last run of 4 (eventually was 3) games looked like it'd land us in some trouble by New Year.

Yep. I think we all feared the worst. Slight ease in the worry about the drop. Still bang in it mind.
Please stick with van nistleroy leicester. I think he's an awful appointment.
Still got a tough run of fixtures up to mid/late jan.
Need to start putting it in the net though. Few 0-0s is ok to start. 1 game scored in since 26th october isnt. Thats two months by time we go to City on boxing day. I mean i know your teams dont score many dyche but thats taking the piss.

We'll be ok again this season. We've got enough fight to keep us ahead of the basement teams even on our worst day. Get a striker come Jan and we might even be able to potentially fight for the dizzy hights of 11th or 12th!

Shame united
Only panic is if Wolves beat Man. United. Then they're right on everyone else.

Have to say Van Nistelrooy is seemingly just doing the things Steve Cooper was. How on earth can you play Wolves at home and bench Buonanotte?! It would be like Dyche leaving Ndiaye out for Ipswich at home.

Leicester seem to be allergic to starting some of their best players and preferring to put out very defensive line ups. RS and Man. City up next for them.
Leicester are in a world of trouble, they’re defensively terrible and RVN has done nothing to fix that, if anything he’s made it worse.

Van Horsehead is the biggest fraud appointment in the league this season. He got the job, it seems to me, largely on the strength of being the United caretaker. Yeah, he did well with PSV for a while, but the idea he was a huge catch was given the lie by United's failure to appoint him rather than their latest flavour of the moment.

Just looking at FoxesTalk now and they're all giving him pelters because he picked Danny Ward in goal. Their first two choices are out injured but seems he's already making errors.

They have RS, Liverpool and Villa next so could easily lose all three and then it's one win from first seven with him as manager.
