2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

That’s not why people are ‘losing their minds’. We had the easiest first half of the season in the entire league by a mile. We have completely messed it up and now we are 3 points clear of the relegation zone. Our home games 2nd half of the season include all of the top six, and there is much less chance of us being able to get out of trouble. Saying ‘we don’t do relegation’ solves absolutely nothing. It only takes one season, and once we are gone we will become a yoyo team, make no mistake. The gap between the premier league and the championship is now massive.
Are you sure about this or just writing it to support your argument?

Our squad is crap, we desperately need new faces this week let alone by the end of January.

Manager can go for me but it’s not a magic bullet and I think it would be a risk unless we are confident we can strengthen properly.
Squad is pretty poor, but for me keeping the exact same set-up that deliberately isolates the one genuine forward player to the point of him having about a 5% chance at best of holding the ball long enough to bring in a team mate is the bigger problem (particularly when the team mate is either doucoure or harrison).

They say trying the same thing and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity, dyche has done exactly that for nearly 2 years now and still thinks it's the little details that prevent us from scoring goals.

New manager with a new approach desperately needed, Wolves have taken 7 points from 3 games with the same poor squad that we hammered. Meanwhile we got some wonder draws.

We stay up despite dyche I still believe, but we do so comfortably with a manager with the ability to actually bring balance to the team.

Wolves have got way better attacking players than us though, far better full backs. Really we’re only stronger than them at centre back.

Who do you think there’s more to get out of in this team?

N’Diaye maybe, maybe the strikers. Everyone else I’d say is pretty much at their level. They just aren’t very good on the whole, their careers testify to that.

A new manager won’t make Harrison suddenly less one dimensional or teach Doucoure how to trap a football. He won’t wind back the clock on Young, Gana, Coleman. Tarkowski as much as I like him has battled relegation pretty much his entire career.

Lose to the #2 team in the table and everyone looses their minds again lol

Mental fragility. We were always going to lose at least one of 4 straight matches against the top 5.
Forrest one of our expected defeats now is it ? List seems to be getting bigger and city weren’t in the top 5 then either if we’re using current form as a guide

I don't trust my judgement or knowledge of modern coaches enough to say who is best placed to get more out of the squad. I do however think there is no way dyche will do anything other than have the primary role of 10 of the 11 being to maintain their defensive shape for the remainder of the season.

That will not suddenly, magically click into a team that scores goals. My worry is that I genuinely think dyche believes it will in enough games to scrape to 38 points.

I think the best this squad plays is the way we approached the first 75 against Bournemouth.

Pragmatic, forward thinking football but not suicidal in transition and not ‘going after’ teams.

We simply haven’t got any legs in the team.

Its amazing that Wolves have been seen as atrocious this season and are now a point behind Everton. Won more games and now scored more than double the goals Everton have.
If they've been that bad then why does dyche get an easy ride with the media just because he digs out the odd unexpected draw.
