2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

We're doing nothing to suggest otherwise? We've only lost 3 games in 12.
You really are like a broken record Dave, 3 wins in 18 matches, 2nd lowest scorers in the league and absolutely dire football. Why don't you get your backside down to Goodison and see how bad we actually are , then you might realise you are chatting complete and utter crap.

Last April was a blip. We barely won a game in any other month of the entire year, but managed four in April alone. Statistically, an anomaly.

Anyone relying on that repeating itself is in for a terrible shock.
And it was the second such blip last season - the other being before Christmas when we went on that little run beating Newcastle and Chelsea (both of whom were having issues at the time). Basically, 8 of the wins last season came in two separate two-week runs where through quirks in the schedule / opponents' misfortunes or lack of desire /etc. we were able to turn what would have otherwise been minor hot streaks into high-consequence winning streaks.

The entire rest of the season outside those few weeks was terrible, which the last few Dyche defenders who keep pointing to last season's supposed improvement seem to ignore or forget. His supposed good work last season was really only good work for about a month in aggregate.

this season after 18 we've won 3, last season 8. Maybe we get 0 wins from that run

He also went 4 months without winning a game before that.

We also stayed up in the last two seasons because of Dyche fronting this organisation when no one else would our could.

We stayed up DESPITE him, not cos of him.

But its ok, you will only know how bad he is was when he leaves.

I can wait.

We can also hire someone who could completely fails to handle a relegation run in...then we'd be facing a catastrophe.

Stick with Dyche and we'll be ok. We can be reasonably certain of that. Then we can indulge you and your fellow blow hards who want Julio Doubleglazius or some other latin hot shot as manager.

It is Dyche that has put us in a relegation run in ffs mate.

I just want a manager who can win a game, now and again, I dont care where hes from.

But as I say, I can wait.

Dyche is the worst manager in the league, who has twice taken a side down, so no, im not certain he can keep us up.

See you tomorrow.

I agree to stick with Dyche through the end of the season. It’s too disruptive right now no matter how bad it seems. He’ll keep us up and we’ll be biting our nails until the end. But he has incentive to stay up for his next job and future. I think TFG has ideas on a replacement. So support Dyche for now. I suspect all relegation threads get buried this time next year. We might be mid-table or hopefully better. But we won’t be praying for the three teams below us to lose every match.

I'll be on here chanting at this screen.

Moshiri and his managerial hirings of the past put is in constant relegation fights. No one else to blame.

Dyche is an honourable man and he'll get the support of most Evertonians.
Ahh the good old default the players aren't good enough. We have the worst attack out of 92 team i.e 4 leagues according to the stats.

Maybe just maybe the Manager has something to do with it.

Hmmm.

...or the players who cant hit a cow on the arse with a banjo are to blame?

Dave,

I think it is reasonably certain we will be in a relegation threatened position for most of the season and I think he is running out of road and excuses to rationalise that to the board/fans/media…what’s he been doing for the last 2 years is a legitimate question.

Sometimes, the old tried and trusted methods no longer work and people realise too late in order to change it.

I think we have reached that juncture.

No way are they worse than league 2 but that is where we are because of Dyche and his reluctance and inability to attack. You only have to look at his entire management record to see that.

Or maybe they need a striker coach like all the other teams do and we used to have before Iknownothingatall came along. Dyche knows best. Cant teach an old dog new tricks.
