2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

You sound ike you're trying to convince yourself not me.

You KNOW Dyche wont be sacked this side of the transfer window shuttting. That'd be my guess...if he's sacked at all.

Im afraid the gallows have been erected a bit prematurely.
Well, if they leave it until after the window they'll deserve the relegation that comes their way.

I have an open mind on the Friedkins. But we'll get some very good indications of their instincts over the coming days. Stick with Dyche, and they have either very poor judgement or they haven't done their homework. Neither will reflect well on them.

Whatever they do, they will need to spend some money on players. I doubt they'd trust Dyche with that - he might not even play the new buys - and would rather a full reset. After all, if they cannot even back themselves to get the right man, well, we're on a hiding to nothing with them regardless.

TFG need to hand him a budget for this window. Back him or sack him.

Let's see what way they go.
Agree with the money for new players but really to get this team to have 0 shots on target. And whatever you say about the sqaud if you think even with this set of players is insane. Cant defend that imo, even that run without a win last season 10 ges under the situatuon here was not good enough. Fed up of the psr crap to be used as an excuse for this, it is not

They should be pumping major cash into this window. They'll lose multiple millions more if Everton go down.

Spend about £50M minimum and save this season for sure or risk losing the momentum they need to go into that new stadium.

If they're not currently doing deals in TFG boardroom with agents then they're not fit to own this club.

I agree mate. Im having none of that.

Whatever it is we'll have to deal with that at a later date. It's all political anyway. They wont crackdown on a yank asset the way they did a Russian one.

Open the wallet wide as you like and start spending on strikers and FBs.

We need major surgery on this squad.

Not even major cash just want the right players with quality who can change this signed so much crap. Bring some pace skill goals in feel like can walk faster than half this team and be pissed and still control the football bettwr than these clowns

We do aint going happen in one window but 3 players can change this team

I don't disagree. And while I was very hopeful that Dyche would stay on until the summer as he had done an admirable job until this season, I'll be sorely disappointed in the Friedkins if they hadn't alternatives in mind were he to underperform - which he has.

If these Texans haven't got irons in the fire regarding managers and players, well, meet the new guys: same as the old guys.

Again exposing yourself as an utter WUM, or someone who knows nothing. They can’t pump cash in for PSR reasons which is the problem of the last guy who owned the club. I’m all for them ignoring PSR, because let’s face it everyone else does and Everton are the only club ever punished for it. But if they do not ‘pump major cash in’ it isn’t because they are ‘spivs’ or ‘carpet baggers’, it is because the last regime has utterly ruined us.

I dont accept that. I doubt too many others do either.

as he had done an admirable job until this season
Please explain?

I don’t think he’s done anything extraordinary in his time with us other than ferment the rot in our club further with his leadership.

The only reason we stayed up last year was due to the other three teams being worse than us.

It’s not like he took over the club like Royle and led us to the FA Cup.

The dumbing down of the club is one thing but the willingness of the fans over the years to make apologies for the architects of under performance is staggering.

Frankly, they Friedkins could sell Branthwaite and do something with that money and a bit more of their own.

The idea that we are totally hamstrung this window is old regime stuff. Time for some imaginative thinking because needs must.

Had we gone down any of the last 3 seasons it would have been financial,Armageddon. Don’t think as bad this season as surely all contracted players have relegation clauses and we don’t have too many under contract anyway!

Hard to see us staying up. It’s more hoping Ipswich and Leicester being our safety net rather than we actually doing it
