2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Our Left Back cost 22million English pound and he cant play football.

We had 150million worth of talent on our bench yesterday, money has been spent.

Just VERY poorly.

No, it hasn't.

If you pay £30 and get back £70 then you've not spent £30.

We've not spent money in 4 windows now. We're the only team to not spend money in 3 summers on the spin. It's not sustainable. We need to spend now.

Indeed. Factored all that in when i said I'd take 17th before a ball was kicked, and mentioned it repeatedly since.

My point is people saying we're down because Ipswich were winning. Steady on.

Glad that we played Ipswich when we did though - given we beat them at their ground, I'd fancy on current form them to turn us over.

Difference between being a point ahead or five behind ...

. I’m saying we should be proactive and take action on our own accord, not wait weeks and weeks!

Keeping him regardless of todays game just delays the inevitable which puts us back even further!

He should be moved on regardless!
I agree he has to go, but other results do have a bearing on things.

Ipswich are tripe.

A couple of decent performances cant mask that fact.

Just get a scorer and good RB in here and we'll be getting up toward 12th/13th.

Currently a 7 point gap to 12th and Spurs are in that position and they'll eventually start winning games when they get a proper backline out so that's a wildly optimistic prediction.

Most would take 17th now.

As a club it’s embarrassing. The whole country wants us down because we are so poor.
Moshiri and Kenwright getting Alladyce and Dyche as managers beggars belief. Then we had Moshiri appointing Benitez.
The fans don’t deserve this last few years but the club do. I’ve always said they don’t deserve the following they get.
This maybe the year it happens.
Sad as it is, I can’t disagree with any of that.

Maybe for now, but that’s looking at it a bit short term, you can see overall that they are playing better than we are, and sometimes changes take time to have an effect.

We don’t know what the new owners will do in Jan, or even if we have money and can buy anyone.

People said the same about Luton constantly last season.

I think we'll finish above Southampton and Ipswich.

TFG will spend this window because we have to.

and how dog awful we are, we're still above them and they're playing their hearts out giving their best and getting praise.

Half their team is league one/championship that's way. Guys like Wolfenden and Sam Morsy been playing in championship or league one for years so they're giving their maximum and well it's an underdog story so more neutrals going to get behind that than Everton scraping another last day survival really.

Ipswich shown they can get results away but big question is can they string a couple of wins together at Portman Road.

The director of football and the manager have had their hands tied behind their back and operating at a real disadvantage but they’ve spent money , whether they’ve used money from sales they’ve made signings that cost money . We brought in a £12m fullback , £15 for Ndiaye, £25m for Beto and O’Brien who it looks like I’ve more chance of getting a Game than at what £16m .

I know Patterson wasn’t dyche but players there have Cost a few bob so saying we haven’t spent money feels a bit like net spend fc across the park . Again for clarity I think those building the squad have been severely restricted but the deals haven’t been the best .
