In 22/23 plenty thought Bournemouth and Forest were gone around March and both won the home games they needed to in the run in and were safe before the final day.

I think you’re very possibly right , like you I think Ipswich have a look of Luton but again we’re relying on others plus I think unlike Luton they’ll maybe spend in January which could make a difference .

Hope so just lost with this manager and not even having shots on target just pathetic. Definately need a lift if beto is going hopefully does give us more freedom in the market. Us fans need a lift if they are keeping dyche for now. We need new players to bring some excitement back

The fact is, Everton have had to make profits in every window for 4+ years now and had to sign players who cost £0 upfront.
But the biggest fact is;
Park any agenda.
Everton have to spend, and any fan contesting that reality is wrong.

The reality is, the club has run down its squad by bringing in more money than it paid out. You need superb recruitment to compensate for that - and we had Kevin Thelwell buying 25m strikers and 17m defenders that have barely registered.
So, the ownership has run us down and the football side has bought poorly. The inevitable result is yet another battle for survival. Why the Friedkins would trust Thelwell and Dyche to spend their money is beyond me...
