2024/25 Relegation Thread

But they are only a point behind us now. The first 21 games for Ipswich, us, wolves and Leicester don't make a difference now and it's the 17 games that are left.

I think 32 points will be safe this year.

The point being they got 7 of the 16 points they have in the new managers first 3 games... that points return per game is in all likelihood going to be short lived (they've lost the following 2) and my mate is not confident they'll be much better off points per game come the end of the season than they have been before O'Neill got punted.

Illd be looking

I agree. They look a rabble that'll get spanked 3 out of 4 games then come up with a win.

Ipswich look a decent team but with no cutting edge. I see them going down with S'ton for sure.

My big nightmare scenario is Leicester sacking van Nistelrooy and turning to Dyche.

Dyche will come back to haunt us if that's the case.
How?
He's going to draw his way to safety with a Leicester team with a current difference of -23?

Can they afford a double sacking with their profit and loss figures?

Dyche had us leaking like a sieve and losing every game until Branthwaite came back in, he's hardly going to get that Leicester defence keeping clean sheets. They'd just start losing 4-0 every week instead of 4-3.

He wouldn't win the number of games needed to get out of it at this stage.

I can see none of the bottom four getting anything from the next two fixtures, Spurs are hit and miss so there is the possibility of something against them and again the following round of games. It worries me that we are allowing the games to slip away from us when we know the players we have aren’t good enough. We need to show some urgency in getting fresh blood in. We need something to kickstart the playing side.

Just been watching the Howards way doc a good few years since I watched it now...

Shows just how with the right people it can all be turned around - what a team that was though ...

I think he would; and he''d have Vardy to knock few important goals in.

With us - a toothless attack - he got 5 wins in the second half of the last two seasons.

Dont rule out another club looking at Dyche to save them.

Just because a few clueless Everton supporters believe his stock to be low it doesn't make it true.

@davek I understand your hatred for Moyes remains undiminished despite the time gone by but how long will it take for you to see Dyche as nothing but a Crisis manager that couldn't progress a team that was already pointing in the right direction.

How far his he poke his love sausage into you?
