4-4-2 Under Dyche - is this the Answer?

Grim that like. I reckon it's more likely that he'll employ a 4-4-1-1 with an extra midfielder, probably with Iwobi in the 'hole' and another CM like Gana next to Onana.

I'm no traditionalist, particularly, and I haven't been clamouring for the formation or the manager - but I wonder if the combination of Dyche and the players we have available means that 4-4-2 is going to click.

It's his preferred formation. He plays it in a simple, teachable way - and we have players that have played it under him.

I have also been wanting to see Maupay and Dominic Calvert-Lewin given a go as a pairing. I'm convinced it'll bring Maupay into the game more, and allow him to get on the scoresheet.

Maybe this is just my coping mechanisms firing into life, but I think this whole mess could work out with something as simple as Dyche's 4-4-2.

Ill be honest mate, I am at a loss as to what will work at the moment lol lol

352 worked well at the start of the season, then that broke down, we went to 433, I think 433 breaks down because Onana was pushed higher up to win the balls, Gana was allowed to go everywhere and Iwobi doesn't really have a position its just go wherever which left a massive hole in the mid.

I think Dyche won't allow that freedom, so its going to be interesting who sits in the mid - as am not totally sure we have players who can just play in a two (who have the discipline I mean).

I would like to see Maupay and DCL together upfront and to see how that works.
