Why not give us a 50 points bonus and see of we can hold on to the end of the season and bring the second asterisk to Merseyside.

Yet two clubs are going to appeal whatever they get in April for the next charge, and the PL think it will all be finalised by May, twice the work in a third of the time.

Could easily see the PL waiting until after Monday’s game. They don’t want any negative response on a televised game whether the decision is positive or negative.
