Well, despite the awful weather forecast I had a great day at Trent Bridge today. The rain stayed off until around 5 by which time Notts were already in a winning position against Lancashire due to Duckworth-Lewis.
Saw some quality cricket. David Hussey and Will Jefferson (who is 6 ft 10!!!) put on on awesome partnership for Notts and they both got unbeaten half centuries. Me and my mates were the only people not miserable enough to give them standing ovations
Muchos hilarity was caused at the expense of a Lancashire spinner called Gary Keedy. He went for 15 off his first over including an amazing sweeped 6 from Jefferson. When he wasn't bowling Keedy was fielding in front of us and he suffered plenty of ironic cheering and shouts of "KEEEEEEEEEDYYYYYY". Probably helped by the fact that the beer had started to take its toll on some people, the friendly banter/abuse was hilarious. To give him credit, Keedy seemed to take it in good spirits.
I also got my programme signed by Brad Hodge, who for the uneducated amongst you is an Australian international.
All in all a great day out/ It was forecast to piss it down all day but in fact it was very pleasent. Shame I'm back to school next week...
EDIT - Oh, and James Anderson bowled pretty well for Lancs. Didn't pick up a wicket but looked in pretty good form. He should do a decent job for England if required in the next test. (he's the reserve bowler)
