If you could kindly check if you have Adblock enabled on GrandOldTeam, and if you do, disable it just for this site - I'd be very appreciative.

I know ads can be a ball ache but they're a necessary evil which help us pay the sites 'leccy bills. We do work to ensure they're not invasive. I have adblock, I just disable it on a handful of sites.

We're lucky we're a bit below average for visitor adblock use thanks to loads doing us that favour, but there's been a steady rise the past couple of months. I think it's because a lot of devices now have adblock by default, so you need to opt out, rather than opt in to blocking ads. As people get new devices, we have to ask/remind people to disable adblock on here.

- It's very easy/takes seconds - usually 2 clicks. Instructions can vary but you can Google to check.

"I don't know whether I have it on"
- Can you see adverts on GrandOldTeam? Like below?
If no, it's on.

This was the last 50 or so logins by last click.

username is the greenbar column, current usergroup shows how many have adblock enabled.

If everyone has adblock, there's no ad revenue and then there's no forum so if you could help us, we'd be made up.

Sake, I couldnt read tweets on here the other day and turned it on briefly to see it that was the problem and thankfully this post reminded me I hadnt turned it back off.

You need to be more intrusive fam, big red flashing bar across the screen if adblock is detected.

Anyway, mine should be ok now, soz...........

Changed to Firefox cos Google is evil with its trackers and its not going well.

It's a simple enough thing to do and the easiest way to give something back to the Site. Google or Youtube search how to unblock specific sites using your particular Ad-Blocker, and I'm sure the information will be there.

I understand that some people don't have a choice i.e. if using works computors etc., but I'm sure most people who use it just don't realise that it's on.
A non intrusive 'ADBLOCK DETECTED' message would be a gentle reminder.
