Mosaic for the Derby
A Fan initiative from fan group “Gwladys Street Boys”.
The Gwladys Street Boys have arranged for a mosaic that will cover the whole of the Lower Gwladys street on the night of the Merseyside Derby.
The Fan group would like the whole of the Gwladys street to get involved and will be spending the day of the game (19/12/2016) getting everything in place for the 8pm kick off.
If you sit in the Gwladys street you will find a foil on your seat with a flyer, the flyer reads .
Dear Gwladys Street.
Please hold the foil that accompanies this flyer above your head as soon as the first drum beats of Z-Cars are played. Then if you could keep it aloft until the players run toward you it will create a mosaic display that will cover the entire lower Gwladys Street.
This display has been organised and designed by members of our group with the aim of showing support for the team and improving the atmosphere on a match day within the ground.
Our group has been responsible for a number of banners seen both home and away, including those commemorating the memories of Howard Kendalland Sid Benson. We also recognised the campaign for justice by the families of the Hillsborough disaster towards the end of last season.
