degsy

Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right...
Today I was called a racist thing,
Seems PC songs I just won't sing,
I don't differ about fat or thin
Hey, I don't judge 'tween colour of skin.

Just because a man ain't white,
Doesn't mean he's not all right,
Just coz he has a darker tan,
Don't mean I can't like the man.

If for New Zealand he will show,
I'll be beside him thru any woe,
But if he is against my land,
Then against him I will stand.

In this country we both want to share,
And I have proudly joined him there,
I don't give a damn where your born,
Only that your loyalty's worn.

Yes! we may all talk and differ,
It makes debate that little bit stiffer,
YOU may be certain and rush to opine,
But my views were form'd in simpler time.

THIS don't, I think, a racist make,
But has the man got what it take,
So damn my eyes and shout PC
Sure you're not guilty of some intolerance?? 'D'

To whom it may concern:

PS Jonah Lomu is actually Tongan...and

PPS If you knows your 'istory,

The Maori's WERN'T the original Inhabitants, They only arrived about 800yrs ago, which, in Anthropologically terms, is a photo finish with Abel Tasman and Capt.Cooke well behind in the Bronze medal position.

As for the TRUE inhabitants, The Moriori, well one Genocide later, hardly a trace remains.

Should 'The PC Imperative' request and require that these 'Inconvienient Truths', which seems to be a popular phrase just now, High Court Judges not withstanding, be Ignored.
Try not to swallow too much sand when you bury your head in it.
"Peace and love", said Dylan.
'Time for bed", said Zebedee.

My case rests, sad sod

Try this

A man called Degsy from overseas
came on here to try and please
A racist script he did present
and although warned he did not repent
Not this guy, an upright white
he'd rather spout a load of [Poor language removed]

far superior poetry from monty there.....almost brought a tear to my eye.

I still dont fully accept that his original post was racist, as i see it he was just explaining the various views that are held in his homeland about the state of their national rugby team.
He never once said what he thought.

Latch, it doesn't matter if it was his, he presented racist views to support his argument.

But that poem is a right laugh degsy, very clever. Monty's is better though.

I would be quite happy if you stick around here, just remember to leave race issues at the door. I am very tolerant, but the racism brush is quick to tarnish forums, and I am not gonna let that happen.

Fair enough you've got a point there.

My own poem for Dylan

Oh, hear this robert zimmerman
I wrote a song for you
About a strange young man called dylan
With a voice like sand and glue
Some words of truthful vengeance
They could pin us to the floor
Brought a few more people on
And put the fear in a whole lot more

Ah, here she comes
Here she comes
Here she comes again
The same old painted lady
From the brow of a superbrain
Shell scratch this world to pieces
As she comes on like a friend
But a couple of songs
From your old scrapbook
Could send her home again

You gave your heart to every bedsit room
At least a picture on the wall
And you sat behind a million pair of eyes
And told them how they saw
Then we lost your train of thought
The paintings are all your own
While troubles are rising
Wed rather be scared
Together than alone

Ah, here she comes
Here she comes
Here she comes again
The same old painted lady
From the brow of a superbrain
Shell scratch this world to pieces
As she comes on like a friend
But a couple of songs
From your old scrapbook
Could send her home again

Aoo

Now hear this robert zimmerman
Though I dont suppose well meet
Ask your good friend dylan
If hed gaze a while down the old street
Tell him weve lost his poems
So theyre writing on the walls
Give us back our unity
Give us back our family
Youre every nations refugee
Dont leave us with their sanity

Ah, here she comes
Here she comes
Here she comes again
The same old painted lady
From the brow of a superbrain
Shell scratch this world to pieces
As she comes on like a friend
But a couple of songs
From your old scrapbook
Could send her home again
Come on
A couple of songs
From your old scrapbook
Could send her home again
Oh, here she comes, (oh) here she comes
Oh, here she comes (oh)

And yes, it is mine, that horrible Mr Bowie stole it.
