Is that a load of green space next to Goodison? And to the (our) right of Goodison are they houses?

Why dont we move those houses, run the big road there underground and wal-la there DOUBLE the amount of space on the one site?

Ummm looks easy enough, and we are living in the 21st Century.

the underpass idea has been in my mind as the parc de prince in paris has a motorway running beneath it.

below the stadium on the pic behind the park end there is carpark, a wide road and then the ornamental gardens in stanley park, that end of the park also has a large glasshouse which is in the process of being restored. as well as the history of both stadiums the park is also one of the oldest, and a model for others around the world. to have the ground within a complex with the park and gardens adjoined would be good.

to the right (bullens rd) there are terraced houses and a school.
to the far right is a cemetary.

there is a very undesirable area to the bottom of the pic particularly to the right.
if there was a cricket ground it would be a bit like in sydney with s.f.s, s.c.g., showgrounds

Thats plan B.

I know its not so easy as Im thinking, but I was thinking from all the talk that Goodison was surrounded by urbanity and there was no green space left in Liverpool. Looks to me like the ground could just be expanded fairly easily, possibly built next door and then when we move demolished to make another park where Goodison stands now.
