Al Ettifaq aren’t one of the big money clubs and the Saudis in general haven’t gone completely nuts with transfer fees, I can’t see them offering enough to make it worth our while.

And Doucoure is a big earner already and seems to properly love the club so can’t see him overly pushing for it.

I think that a offer from Saudi is to hard to reject. Like Henderson left Liverpool after so many years at Liverpool. Very good defenders like Laporte and Mancini. Imo, we are done, because we all know that if he is sold, no replacement is coming in

The infuriating thing about the PSR sanction is if we were 27 points and cruising to safety this would be a chance to cash in on a 31 year old big earner and invest in a younger player.

That would be the profitable and sustainable thing to do but we can’t afford to do the profitable, sustainable thing because the profit and sustainability rules have put us in a relegation battle.

Doucs is pretty much the only player we have that occasionally travels with the ball, we need more players like that, just can’t sell him in Jan.

If we sold in the summer I’d see if we could get Willock from Newcastle as the replacement.

This, if your going to loose your most influential player in January you need two things, a ridiculous offer and then some to compensate and a deal in the chamber that brings a similar impact in the short term minimum and at best long term.
