I'm afraid that 40 years where hardened criminals have been seen as victims of society has lead to a breakdown, where the criminal-classes now believe they have every right to do as they please.

Partly to blame for this is the left-liberal idea that it is somehow wrong to believe that the law exists to gain retribution. Instead, we've focused on vague concepts of 'harm' leaving aside the notion of 'right and wrong'.

Extreme right-liberalism, that practiced by Thatcher et al, also needs to look at itself. The view that individuals are supreme and have no duties to society has created a country with selfish gits are too wrapped up in their pursuit of petty wealth to give a stuff, at least as long as they're unaffected.

when a criminal is found guilty of a crime & sentenced to prison this sentence should be a mixture of punishment & rehabilitation, but we now seem to have a situation where the sentences are no deterrent as they are generally cut short & at the same time the prison system is overloaded & so no effective rehabilitation can occur. yet we still find room for oap's who can't/won't pay their council tax.

Anfield andthe streets by goodison are not nice places to be other than match days, last year I went to a side street by Goodison to pick up a fish tank I bought from a advert in the echo, the guy was selling it because he was so desperate to move he and his wife had took a one bedroom flat,the scum had made their life hell.I thought he might be going a bit over the top but as we placed the tank in the car a gang of kids came round the corner and started yelling at him that his windows would be bricked later.

A guy that lived close to me before I moved here got 7 years for having a gun and drugs his parents where shocked as they are not that type any how he is still in prison but has sky tv for a lot less than we pay its a joke
