Can't we have a bit of common sense when posting rumours, please avoid anything from

Tribal football
Daily mail

Feel free to add, we have a exceptional record of getting news about our own transfers, please don't dumb the site down with ridiculous traffic whores.

Its been posted about that ten times before and I fully agree. Thing is that you can't control the newer lids who don't know about that rule.

On a side thing, I reckon we should have a designated thread for each player and all stuff like that today would go in it.

That way you'd have a definite timeline on each player, injuries, transfer speculation, current form the lot.

As a member, I agree. We've considered in the past actively closing any new thread started solely because of something cited by Tribal Football, Daily Mail or Goal.

But then, as the admin, where is the line drawn? Can people then start a thread saying "I think we should sign *****" - causing some genuine debate, with no substance linking Everton to the mentioned player?

Please ban these people who start threads saying we should sign a certain player.

I detest them.

Really? What about when someone windmill's into the middle of a thread, with such details? Say, for instance, a nice, genuine thread, starts off, but then someone comes in saying such things as, "We're signing Gamst-Pederson. I know, I'm sourced!"

What should occur, to those posters, then?(y)

I'm undecided - always reluctant to outright ban any Everton discussion - otherwise Kenwright talk would have went a long time ago.

Will leave this one for our newest moderators to decide. Muggins, Basil and Dutch - rock, paper scissors it lads.

Nothing wrong with starting threads about players you'd like to see at Everton and discussion about said player regardless of whther there is any serious sauce linking that player.

People just need to actually discuss that player as opposed to getting all arsey that others are doing so or stay out the thread.

Sure any sensible member knows which websites and papers are ful or made up rubbish by areshole journalists. No need to keep getting so furious both when we don't actually sign that player and with other posters for discussing it.

Maybe just put a sticky at the top of the forum reminding people not to get all wound up about it all, that ****e rumours are just that and not worth getting pissed off about.
