Picture of Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor wearing Arsenal shirt for TV interview - MirrorFootball.co.uk

Emmanuel Adebayor risked the wrath of Manchester City fans by conducting a television interview wearing an Arsenal T-shirt.
The City striker appeared on Sky Sports news to describe the horrific events in Angloa last Friday night when Togo's team bus was attacked by gunmen.
Three officials were killed and several players injured in the attack - prompting Togo to withdraw from the African Cup of Nations.
Adebayor, who has been given leave by City to spend time with his family following the tragedy, looked clearly traumatised as he spoke to a tv interviewer.

But City fans will not be happy that their £25million striker, signed from Arsenal in the summer, was clearly wearing a Nike-branded T-shirt featuring the Gunners' club crest.
Adebayor is a hate figure amongst Arsenal fans who accused him of disrespecting the club last season as he looked for a transfer.
He was handed a three-match ban for stamping on former Emirates team-mate Robin van Persie when City beat Arsenal 4-2 this season.
Adebayor almost sparked a riot amongst the travelling Arsenal fans when he ran the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of them after scoring City's third goal at Eastlands.

Classic. Up their with Robiniho thinking he was going to Chelsea.

I used to think it was a half decent read. I mean it wasnt great, no way, it was always pro-United tho.

Havent bought a paper for years now tho. Hate all the rags.

There is no many players like ours Big Dunc and Tim Cahill.

We are proud with them, and they are with us.

i must say it caused a bit of a stir on the forum i go on but the more people thought about it you could see he was and still is clearly affected at what happened.

i also know as fact that he contacted the city press assossiation the day after he did this because he realised what he had done and was worried about the backlash considering the minutes silence that was held along with togo flags for the people who died at eastlands.

im not going to be angry what he did because his state of mind is not right and im sure if it was an member of the general public that went though this then we would be supporting them in anyway we could?
