Hi I hail from the states I've written in the depression thread previously about suffering seizures which have hindered by quality of life, despite continuing to encounter those episodes I was able to obtain a job in social services, I facilitate services for intellectually disabled individuals and been able to achieve stability by getting the desperately needed meds to suppress my seizures. So with me actually making some funds I'd like to embark on an excursion to somewhere in Ireland for a couple days then fly into either liverpool or Manchester then attend the Brentford game in march if possible. To have the opportunity to actually experience an everton game would be truly memorable and glorious as I've always just watched the games on tv, to be on such hollowed grounds regardless of the result would just bliss inducing scenario. So my question is what advice can you offer me to make my aspiration a reality?
I've saved up $1500 with the plan to accrue $4000. What flights or accommodations should I investigate? Also where would I be able to procure a ticket for the match it would just be me. Right now the plan is just in the incubation stage.

Congratulations on getting some work sorted out.

You can fly into Liverpool from Dublin and possibly Cork. Swerve Manchester Airport, it's a ballache.

Don't know what you're looking to spend on a hotel but I'd highly recommend the Double Tree Hilton just off Dale Street. Plenty of places to eat and drink at that end if town and for touristy stuff it's pretty close to The Cavern Club and only a 5 minute walk from Liverpools famous waterfront.

For a match ticket, are you a member of a a US based supporters club? That would probably be my first port of call.

I'm sure others can add to this.

I would recommend getting the international membership, that will allow you to purchase tickets before they go on general sale.

As you will have no doubt read, Goodison has a lot of restricted views, but the club website does allow you to see the view from your seat before you buy.

I made the mistake of getting seats at the back of the lower Gwladys - everyone stands up so you can't see the near half, but the roof is so low you also can't see the far half. I can't stress enough do not get a seat in the back half of the lower gladwys.

I did the stadium tour the day after the game. They gave a voucher for a 20% discount at the club store, so did all my shopping then. Being near the end of the season, a lot of stuff will be discounted anyway.

If you do the stadium tour, make sure you are the first person out of the changing rooms and have your video ready - as soon as everyone is out, Z cars will start playing and you will be walking out through the tunnel onto the ground

Have fun, it's a great feeling to walk into Goodison for the first time
