Just come back from SA and it’s a lovely country but you do have to be careful. I will share some tips given to me from my in-laws (South African) and their friends over there.

1. Lock your car doors as highjackings are a big problem, especially in Joberg
2. At traffic lights leave a gap from the car in front so you can drive round them if a said highjacking looks like it will happen
3. Stick to the tourist areas. NEVER go into areas that you have not been recommended. They are NOT safe
4. Do not flash the cash, especially in Cape Town or Joberg or you run the risk of being robbed.
5. Embrace the South Africans as they are rooting for England.

If you go I am jealous, I’m a teacher and can’t get the time off yet have free accommodation over there. Be safe and let’s hope that Hibbo is England’s RB!!!!!

PS. I went surfing and was not worried about sharks but there were thousands of jelly fish and I didn't want to have to piss on myself in broad daylight.
