.....still shaking my head. Facebook Reds out of hibernation and laughing at the 'pitch invasion', I suppose it beats leaving with 20mins to go when the opposition score.

Aye agreed on the earlier subs. It's worse when you can see it coming. They passed through our midfield too easy even with McCarthy still on the pitch in the second half.

Credit to Bournemouth though, very good comeback from them that. Deserved too.

We move on. These things are gonna happen with a young team. Hopefully will be a boot up the arse for the next set of games coming up.

End of the day, rather if that type of switching off was going to happen, then it happened away at a team that we still got a point off, we would have saved that's witch off for say Palace at Home then we could get battered from the start by them, or even worse against Boro we'd be out the cup, hopefully we can use that terrible second half as a lesson and get heads switched on from the start without switching off in a game for the next run of games

Beat Boro and go through to the semi's and then tonk Palace then we will hopefully only have this as a lesson Martinez can use the rest of the season with both himself and the players of how not to 'manage a game'

Tbf, invading the pitch because we scored against Bournemouth is pathetic. The tossers also added more time on.

........I suspect Bournmouth now join Carlisle as the only clubs we have played in the top flight and failed to beat.
As @davek said, we're 7th, unbeaten in a few with only a few defeats in quite a while, and one win away from a cup semi.

2 years ago I'd never have thought I'd be relying on Dave for positivity lol lol

....the manner of yesterday's draw is clearly a downer, especially after we looked much the better side and should've put the game to bed. It's only to be expected that folk are expressing disappointment and frustration.

Certainly mate. Need to finish teams off as per the previous two games.

There is a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth herein. End of the day, we played a team who were up for it and are as good as us on any given day. Everton is a team we love and Bournemouth is a team their fans love. Neither of us have a chance of winning the league but either of us might grab a cup some day. End of the day, Bournemouth are our peers...and 3-3 confirms that. Chelsea will make the top 4, us and Bournemouth won't...the sooner everybody just supports Everton unequivocally with no expectation, the happier we all shall be

3-3 isnt the end of the world ffs. This was a costly lesson and in that perspective Im glad it happened now rather than later when the stakes are higher. Lets just take it to the chin and admit that Bournemouth fought well.

COYB.

My main worry is the negative impact that losing the lead as we did yesterday will have on us for the rest of the season. Last season it happened to us at the start and we looked fragile and nervous at the back all season. Hopefully it won't happen again.

As one or two Bournemouth fans pointed out online, they dominated the second half with a team containing six of their reserves. The stakes are high now ... if we surrender two goal leads to a poor side, I don't see how we'll have very much to play for later in the season.

Now the dust has settled, that second half was still absolutely dire. We showed no desire, didn't remotely look like controlling the midfield, and offering virtually nil at the end of the pitch that matters. Well done to Bournemouth's reserves, the lads deserve to feel bad after yesterday.
